Ages 6 month to 2 yrs- Baby N’ Me

Baby N’ Me is a water orientation class designed for baby and an adult. This course combines GENTLE swimming methods along with developmental learning techniques to make a positive first water experience. You and your baby together will learn safety, songs and water methods. This is a wonderful bonding experience that will create love, self-esteem, and trust in the water.

Ages 3 yrs and under- Private Lessons

The objective is to help students feel comfortable and confident in the water so they can enjoy the water safely. GENTLE techniques are used to teach elementary aquatic skills as a foundation for further swimming levels. Levels 1, 3-7.

Ages 10yrs. to Adult- Private or Group Lessons

The objective is to give students success with fundamental and advanced skills. Swimming provides recreation, enjoyment, and exercise! It is important for all ages and levels. It is never to late to learn to swim! Levels 2-7.

Level 1:
Beginner ages 3 and under
This level is designed to calm the fears of infants and toddlers in the water. Students will learn how to be comfortable in the water with basic water and safety skills.
*To pass students must swim 5 feet with face in the water unassisted, float on back, and perform 5 bobs.

Level 2:
Beginners ages 4 to Adult
This level is designed for beginning swimmers ages four to adult. This course emphasizes comfort in the water along with basic water and safety skills. It teaches proper body position and breathing techniques to prepare for more advanced swimming skills.
*To pass students must swim 5 feet with their face in the water unassisted, float on their back for 10 seconds, and perform 10 bobs demonstrating proper breathing.

Level 3A:
This level students will continue to reinforce proper water and safety skills. Children will continue working on body position and swimming greater distances. Students will learn pop up breathing (4-5 yrs. old) or side breathing (5yrs and up). They will also underwater swim, float on their back and learn elementary backstroke.
*To pass students must swim freestyle 15 yards with breathing, unassisted. Float on back for 15 seconds.

Level 3B:
Students will improve elementary backstroke, coordinate front and back crawl and tread water.
*To pass students must swim 2 long lengths of the pool (30 yards), roll over and float on back for 30 seconds.

Level 4:
Students will increase endurance with freestyle and backstroke, learn rhythmic breathing, and an introduction to breaststroke.
*To pass students must jump in at deep end and swim freestyle using side breathing and backstroke two lengths of the pool only stopping between strokes. Perform both survival float and treading water separately, each for two continuous minutes.

Level 5:
Students will work on the development of back, breast, and the freestyle strokes. They will maintain longer swims to increase strength and endurance. They will be introduced to the butterfly and a freestyle flip turn.
*To pass jump in at the deep end swim freestyle and then backstroke four lengths only stopping between strokes. Performs survival float and treading water separately, each for two continuous minutes. Swims continuously for five minutes using any stroke, without touching the bottom or stopping in any way.

Level 6:
Students will work on the development of back, breast, fly, and the freestyle strokes. Considerable endurance is developed, turns, streamlines and speed in water are further developed.
*To pass jump in at the deep end swim freestyle backstroke and then breaststroke four lengths only stopping between strokes. Jump in at the deep in and swim two lengths of butterfly without stopping. Performs survival float and treading water separately, each for two continuous minutes. Swims continuously for five minutes using a combination of two strokes , without touching the bottom or stopping in any way.

Level 7:
You are ready for the Olympics! Just kidding ! To develop perfect skills and good fitness habits students will learn how to do flip turns, starts, and efficient streamlines. They will perfect all four strokes in preparation or conjunction with a competitive swim team.
*To pass jump in and streamline under water a full length of the pool. Swim two laps of each stroke consecutively with proper flip turns. Swim 2 lengths under 30 seconds of freestyle and win a Gold Bubble Medal.
