Aleksey Marintsev

Aleksey Marintsev was born and raised in Donetsk, Ukraine. Started swimming at young age because of dystrophy dieses and needed the best possible solution to get fit. Participated in various clubs and went a lot to the beach.

Came to United States as parents thought it would be best to grow and prosper were there are no hate crime against people of Jewish origin. At age 11 moved too Brooklyn, NY. There was thought English, Math, Science, Literature, History, etc...However Art and Music wore always my best subjects. Participated at Dolphin Swim Club, and got a bronze medal at age 13. Further down swimming was more of a hobby and done recreational minus competitive; there was a pool at the residence at the top of the building, were it was open daily.

In winter of 2004, moved to Pennsylvania, were I learned my trades and how to drive, and finished GED program. Unfortunately swimming was left behind as one of unused skills for a long time. Until recently March 2011 moving to Las Vegas in search of opportunity discovered my hidden talent for teaching at Bubble Swim School.

David Perkins

Coach David PerkinsAQUATIC DIRECTOR & OWNER

Greetings! I'm Coach Perkins and my main goal for Bubble Swim School is to maintain the proud tradition that was build by the original owner Peggy Burger, then later Chris and Julie Meservey, and add my knowlwege and experience to ensure that everyone in Las Vegas learns how to swim, or least can save themselves should they accidently fall into a body of water. My Swimming Educational Goals are to build a competitive swim and health related program of national quality in Las Vegas, one that helps young athletes achieve athletic & academic goals. Also it is a personal goal to create an accessible survival & safety swimming educational program that has an immediate, real, & positive impact on all of the citizens of Las Vegas. As a special education teacher, I have a strong commitment to bringing all aspects of aquatics, as well as art to children with special needs. I have coached and taught swimming all over the world: Arlington Swim Club (Texas) Arlington Independent School District High (Texas) Szczecinski Swimming (Poland) City of North Las Vegas Summer Teams (Nevada) Mojave HS (Nevada) *** Regional HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE YEAR 2007 *** Legacy HS (Nevada) My Accomplishments as a swimmer: Three-time All American high school swimmer at Churchill HS & Alamo Heights HS in San Antonio, Texas (1971, 1972) Seven time Texas South West Regional Champion, 1970, 1971, 1972, Texas State Champion, 1971 Two-time NCAA Conference Champion, 1975 NCAA & AAU National Qualifier 1975

Dee DelosReyes

My name is Dee and I have always had a passion for swimming. I started my swimming career at the age of nine and continued competing all the way through my second year of college (CVAA- age group, Red Bluff JR. High, Southwest High School and Southwestern Collage.)

I began my teaching and coaching career in 1996 were I held numerous aquatic positions and “found” my “true talent” and “career path.” I have coached all ages and levels for many years (Eastlake age group – swim team)

Red Rock Swim Team, The Wave Swim Team, YMCA Swim Team, High School (Chula Vista high), Masters Swim Team

In 1997, I began teaching swim lessons at a city pool (as a swim instructor) and have continued teaching swim lessons (to all ages) up to present day. I have taught everywhere from YMCA’s, city pools, recreational pools, private pools, and Bubble swim school. I also implemented and oversaw a “learn to swim” program for numerous 24 hour fitness centers in Las Vegas.

Other aquatic venues I have worked at include Lifeguarding for city and county park pools and Pool Manager for other resorts in Las Vegas.

I’ve always enjoyed teaching swim lessons (to all ages) because the end results are always the same. “To see the excitement and share in the accomplishments when individuals realize they have ether learned to swim or have met their personal goals.” (Individuals set for themselves).

Water safety proper technique and water dynamics are important to me and are emphasized through my teaching style.

Hope to see you soon!

Membership

Bubble Membership vs. a Registration Fee

Sign-up for most any Karate, Dance, and even other Swim Classes and you have probably run across a registration fee.

Why?  Most places (including us) that offer lessons of any sort use an online-based software to handle online registrations, billing, schedules and so on.  These companies charge us anywhere from $2 to $3 per family per month, which adds up.  By charging a $25 to $35 registration fee each year, schools such as ours can then cover the cost of what these software companies charge .

When I signed up my daughter up for a Gymnastics class a few years ago, I wasn't aware of this.

“What? You want to charge me $30 just to put my name in the computer?”

Yes, I was appalled, for at the time I thought this business was trying to milk me like any government agency, nearly every phone company, or of course the banks who seem to ‘create’ all kinds of “fees” that we don’t understand or are even aware of.

I am telling you this so you don’t feel the way I did when I paid a registration fee…for I would want you to know what and how your payments to us are being used. I would also hope you take a look at how we are taking this a step further so you get

REAL VALUE

handshakes

when you become a part of Bubble.

First, we at Bubble call this a Membership, for in our opinion the word ‘fee’ is a rather ugly term, and for some reason reminds us of standing in line at the DMV. Plus, this word in fact does not describe what we do with this payment.

Yes, it will help pay for the online service we use, but also provide for activities that we hope you will use by being a part of Bubble: such as our free open swim times, free family lectures, free monthly pool parties (First Saturday), and much more.

If after reading this you still have some concerns or ill feelings about becomming a member in order to take lessons (and by the way, there are many who simply become members just to take advantage of all the programs we offer) then please see me.  I would be happy to address your concerns.

                                       Sincerely,

                                       Coach Perkins
